If you’re new to psychiatric care, you probably have questions—and that’s completely normal.

Small steps lead to big wins.

This page is designed to help you understand how UPright Psychiatry works, what to expect from your first appointment, and how we make care simple and accessible from the start.

What does a psychiatric evaluation include?

Initial evaluation is a 90-minute session where Nicole takes time to understand your symptoms, history, lifestyle, and goals. Together, you’ll review what’s been working, what hasn’t, and create a realistic treatment plan tailored to you. Follow-up appointments are typically 30-60 minutes.

Nicole specializes in medication management and clinical evaluations. While UPright Psychiatry does not provide ongoing talk therapy, Nicole integrates guidance on lifestyle, supplements, and community resources. If therapy is recommended, she provides referrals to trusted psychologists and counselors.

Yes. Appointments are available in person or via secure telehealth. Initial evaluations must be in-person. Offered seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., making it easy to access care wherever you are in Colorado.

Most clients schedule follow-ups every 4–6 weeks to review progress and adjust medications as needed. The goal is steady improvement—not just prescription renewals.

Perfect. Nicole often collaborates with your existing therapist or psychologist to ensure your medication and therapy plans work together for the best results.
